Hi all!
With the recent announcement by the UK Gov to extend the lockdown by a further three weeks, it basically means that the UK lockdown will continue into May with a possibility of partial lockdowns until well into May and possibly into the middle of summer.
US and UK unemployment rates are starting to rocket up as businesses close and let go their workers. Over the past couple of weeks, as the lockdowns have started to bite in hard for families and for people who have lost their job’s or went into furlough on reduced wages, I have been getting a lot of emails from YTM, Patreon and SStar supporters who are supporting “Vaping With Vic” financially with emails apologising for having to give up the financial support of the business.
To each email, I have said there is no need to apologise at all, you and your family have to come first and with the lockdown’s being extended out I am saying to all the Patreon’s/SStar and YTM’s who are still supporting this…PLEASE make sure that you do have a secure job with enough income to look after your family first. There is absolutely no need to apologise for leaving, people are in the middle of a very, very tough time right now and the tough times are going to extend well into the beginning of summer for the UK and some of Europe and the US.
As for “Vaping With Vic”. A UK/ScotGov grant application for SME (Small to Medium Enterprise) was accepted by the local authority to keep the business ticking over with cash to pay the rent for the offices, the money was put into the bank last night. There is enough cash in the bank to support myself and my mother and the running of the business (rent’s, rates etc) well into summer.
With China starting the second lockdown of Wuhan/Hubei and with what looks like the beginning of the second spike of infections starting in China, it may get to the point that the ecig industry in Shenzhen could close for a second time, that, coupled with the lockdowns would spell a total and complete shut down of what is classed as the ecig industry. There are enough items in the review queue to last for three weeks. The plan is now to scale back the number of reviews per week on the channel to three reviews a week, on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, that way there is enough content to keep the channel ticking over hopefully through the lockdown phase.
For the people who have decided to drop out of supporting VWV via Patreon/YTM/SStar, I would like to thank you for your support, and I hope that once this is over, you find yourself back in a job as fast as possible in order to support yourself and your family. For the folks who are still supporting VWV, please, I ask again that you check first that your income is guaranteed, if there is ever a doubt in your mind, don’t risk it, leave Patreon and YTM, you and your family comes first.
