Coil Art Mage Mech Tricker Kit

by on 12th May 2017 with No Comments

The Coil Art Mage Mech Tricker Kit is the latest in what is fast becoming a line of mechs being released over the past 5 to 6 months from CoilArt and other companies which are shining new light on the old market of mechanical mods for a new generation of vaper. The Mage Mech Kit takes its name from the Mage RDA which comes with the kit.

With a standard copper with coating and a resin sheath based version, it looks like Coil Art is going after the segment of the market that the GeekVape tubular mechs are currently in. With a lockable firing button, internal plastic sheath to protect against a nicked battery, all copper design with a hybrid connection… the mech kit sure looks the part…but how does it perform? Let’s find out…

Pioneer4U IPV 8 – Older mod, but still has relevance

by on 11th May 2017 with No Comments

The Pioneer4U IPV 8 is by no means the latest and greatest of the IPV range from P4U. Superceeded by the newer IPV 6X, the older V8 carries the SX 330 chip from YiHi which again, is a chip which, like the mod, dates back to last year. Even with the age of the mod, P4U is still producing and selling it in the market, so there must be something about it which keeps people coming back.

With its 230watt max (although whether it reaches that is another matter), temp control from a YiHi chip, which means it will work, and a rugged and well made mod housing, the IPV 8 is a throw back the the winter of last year, when thinner, durable dual battery mods was starting to make a regular appearance. How does it perform? Let’s find out.
